Bertha Mae Thatcher

Celebration of life services for Bertha Mae Thatcher, 82, of Ringling will be 2:00 PM Saturday January 27, 2018 at the Ringling Community Fellowship with Chad Barron officiating. Interment will follow at the Ringling Memorial Cemetery.

Bertha was born June 20, 1935 in Cash, OK. to Charlie and Lula Bell "Roden" Sullivan. She went to be with her Lord and Savior January 23, 2018 at her home. Bertha was raised around the Ringling, Loco area and went to school at Fox. She married Loyd Thatcher March 6, 1952 in Wichita Falls, TX. They lived there for a short while before moving to Ringling. Bertha worked for Stromberg-Carlson for a while manufacturing tents then later changed to manufacturing telephones. She worked at the Ringling Schools as a Custodian from 1980 to 2010, for the Ringling Post Office 2000 to 2009 and was the Ringling Community Fellowship's Custodian for many years as well. Bertha loved her family and especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking, and bingo. She was a member of the Community Fellowship Outreach Center since 1955. She was a faithful and loving Christian, and her faith was strong. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Bertha is preceded by: her husband Loyd Thatcher; her parent; 2 daughters - Phyliss Lynn and Marilyn Griffith; and grandson Jeremy Christian.

She is survived by: daughters Peggy Christian of the home, and Vickey and husband Stevie Stineof Maysville; grandchildren - Kain Stine of Velma, Sheena Mitchell of Edmond, Billie Fondren of Tussy, Brandon Christian of Ringling, Dallas DeBoard of Ardmore, Nicole Gazaway of Ringling; great grandchildren Ashley Stine of Duncan, Blake Stine of Velma, Leigha, Logan, Raelynn Christian, all of Ringling, Jacee Gazaway of Wilson, and River Taylor of Jackson Hole, WY; 5 sisters - Geneva Dalton of Wichita Falls, TX, Georgia Canada of Healdton, Jean Boswell of Wilson, Charles Dean Ingram of Healdton, and Jo Ann Huggins of Ringling; and brother Less Sullivan of Ringling.
