Dell Everett Johnson

Services for Dell Everett Johnson, 87, of Ringling is scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday March 21, 2018 at the First Baptist Church in Ringling. Officiating will be Brother Ronnie Carrol and Thad Kasshemier. Interment will follow at the Ringling Memorial Cemetery.

Dell was born on August 4, 1930 in Magna, Utah to Everett Palmer and Florence Nielsen Johnson. He passed away Sunday March 18, 2018 in Waurika, OK. Dell was raised in Magna, Utah and attended school in California. After high school Dell joined the United States Air Force. He married Velma (Deanna) Connel in Ringling on March 24, 1951. They shared many many wonderful years together. He later went to work and retired from Halliburton, he then worked and retired from B.J Hughes. He later was employed by Ringling Schools as a bus driver, and also retired from there. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and his daycare kids. He loved his wife dearly and took wonderful care of her.

Dell is preceded in death by his parents – his beloved wife; Deanna – Godson; Dalton Howard – sister in law; Laveda Kelley.

Dell is survived by his sister; Mildred Madden of Greenwood, SC.,- sister; Arva Druce and husband Larry of West Valley, Utah - daughter; Terrie Blackwell and husband Tim of Ringling – son; John (J.J.) Johnson and wife Mary of Healdton – daughter; Lorie Justus and husband Barry of Bailey, OK. – granddaughter; Amy Alexander of Durant, OK. – granddaughter; Jennifer Robertson and husband Aaron of Ringling – grandson; Justin Justus of Duncan, OK. – grandson; Jeremy Cunningham of Ringling – granddaughter; DeAnn Spencer and husband Stephen of Marlow, OK. – grandson; Josh Johnson and wife Maleah of Healdton - grandson; Joe Blackwell and wife Aaron of Ringling – grandson; Steven Blackwell and wife Starla - granddaughter; Sarah Justus of Norman, OK. – 12 great grandchildren and 1 on the way – several nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be; Steve Howard – Kade Howard – Garrett Savage – Joe Cunningham – Traven Cunningham – Thad Kasshemier - Howard Worley. Honorary pallbearers will be the Men's II class of First Baptist Church.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Junior Ogle. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Ringling Nutrition Center. You may send your condolences to www.robertsfuneralhomes.us. Visitation will be from noon to 8:00 PM Tuesday at the Roberts Funeral Home in Ringling with the family receiving visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
