Edith Eldora Morgan

Services for Edith Eldora Morgan, 75 of Healdton will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 22, 2010 at Roberts Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Quenton Newton officiating, burial will be at Mount Olive Cemetery in Healdton.

Edith was born on January 30, 1935 in Empire, Ok. to Thurman Lee and Bulah Atlas (Shelton) Fletcher. She passed from this life on April 18, 2010 at the Ardmore Hospital.

Edith attended school at Empire, she then married Burl Ray Morgan on July 10, 1955 in Empire. They lived in several towns in Texas, due to Burl’s job in the oilfield, before moving to Healdton in 1972, where she resided until her death.

Edith was a loving homemaker who enjoyed having company and always hated to see them leave. In her spare time she liked to play word search games. When she was physically able she attended the Assembly Of God Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Burl Ray Morgan, 4 sisters – Sara Marie Moore, Oleta Willard, Ruby Wilks and Betty Cooper.

She is survived by 2 daughters and their husbands – Regina and Steve Garrett, Sunset, Tx. and Kathy and Everett West, Healdton. -1 son – Donald Morgan, Healdton. 1 brother – Grady B. Fletcher, Springfield Missouri -1 sister – Birdie Bracken, Duncan, Ok. 3 grandchildren and 7 great - grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be family and friends

Services are under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home in Healdton.
