MARY VIRGINIA "Nene" WRIGHT - Departed this life, peacefully on Mother's Day, May 10, 2009 at a local nursing facility in Ardmore, OK. Dearly beloved grandmother of Ginny Pierce of Ardmore, OK, Derek Pierce (Dr. Clinton C. Mugurussa) of Santa Rosa, CA and Chelsea (Levi Richardson) of Tishomingo, OK. Cherished great grandmother of one great granddaughter; Desiree Pierce and two great grandson's; Riley "Rowdy" and Peyton Pierce, all of Ardmore, OK. Also survived by her loving step-daughter; Mary Charlotte St. Marie of Sebastopol, CA and numerous cousins. A native of Cornish, OK, age 73 years. Born to Gordon and Mary Alzada Hudson, Virginia came to Ringling, OK at the age of 5, the area where she has spent most of her life. Virginia is preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Kimberly Dawn Pierce, her loving husband of five years, Clyde Wright and her loving companions, Sexon Longest and her adored dog, "Peanut". Virginia's life encircled her love of her family. Following graduation from Mountain Home High School, she began her career as a telephone operator for SouthWestern Bell. She retired as a seamstress from the Marrietta Sports Facility. She enjoyed dance, reading and entertaing her host of many friends. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff of Lakeland Manor for their loving care and support during Virginia's care and the family's bereavement. Virginia's life will be honored by pallbearers; Robert Stow, Rudy Paul King, Tommy Hammons, Everett McClain, Pat King, Jack Stepp, Greg Pierce, Don Allen, Barry Pemberton, and TerryLynn Barkenheimer

 

Family and friends are invited to attend Funeral Services at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, May 14, 2009 at the Community Fellowship Outreach-Assembly of God : Ronnie Harbour and Rev. Chad Barron, officiating. Private interment. ROBERTS FUNERAL HOME will provide and the family will receive those wishing to pay their respects from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at the DUDLEY-ROBERTS FUNERAL HOME in Ringling.
