Opal Hedrick was bor March 19, 1915, in Fox, Oklahoma, to Albert Ross and Lessie Ogletree McLain. She passed from this life February 25, 2007, in Ardmore, Oklahoma. She worked for Mobil Oil as a PBX operator with more than fifty years of service. She loved her family and her churck. She was faithful to her Lord and loved music. Opal sang at various church events, offering special music with a trio or quartet.
Survivors invlude: one son- Dale Parker and his wife Beth; three grandchildren - Pamela Rowe of Healdton, OK, Steven Parker of Anchorage, AL, and Lisa Ferguson of Alexandria, VA; ten great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Mary McLain of Lone Grove, OK; several nieces and nephews; one step-son, Wendell Hedrick and his wife Jackie of Oklahoma City, OK; and their children Jay and Wendey Hedrick of Oklahoma City, OK.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hedrick were at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 28, 2007, at the Spivey Funeral Home Chapel in Healdton, Oklahoma, with Rev. Danny Kennedy officiating. Burial was in the Graham Cemetery under the direction of Spivey Funeral Home of Healdton. Pallbearers were Vernon Parker, W.A. McLain, Dan McClain, Larry Smith, J.W. Rhodes, and Randy Suggs.
